CATS TahtaWith the developments in information and communication technologies, educational practices have gained an identity independent of time and space. Aiming to integrate the opportunities offered by new information and communication technologies with education in the most effective way, İstanbul Kültür University has carried its studies to a different dimension with the Distance Education Application and Research Center (UZEMER) established in 2011-2012 academic year.

Digital-based teaching projects; UZEMER, which is planned and managed in a wide range from course contents to infrastructure applications, carries out all the necessary studies for integration of associate degree, undergraduate, undergraduate completion and graduate programs as well as courses, seminars and certificate programs with distance education. Within this scope, the hardware and project development activities required for distance education activities such as course loading, virtual classroom and whiteboard are also included in the activities of UZEMER. In addition to long-term and short-term academic projects within the body of IKU, UZEMER continues to work as a center with academic and technical equipment to carry out scientific research and consultancy services to meet the needs of distance education programs of public-private sector and non-governmental organizations.
